  • Well it was a change of plan here when the rain started to come down with a vengeance! It suddenly seemed much more appealing to stay home! So the bus ride didn't happen!

Just been making a pan of butternut squash and carrot soup 'cos the recipe I saw appealed to me. Just waiting for it to cool a bit before I whizz it up so not tasted it yet.

This afternoon I plan on getting my stash of Xmas gifts down and get my recipient list up to date. Then I know what's what and who I still have to buy for. The DGDs are always the last gifts I buy as they change their "want" lists weekly up to Christmas.

REDRUBY your foot pain sounds horrendous and I have heard previously just how painful the condition is. My leg pain isn't constant thankfully. I have no problem at all when I am pottering in the house, sitting and when in bed, it's as soon as I start to walk anywhere outside that the pain builds up. The answer for me would be never to go out but it would drive me mad cooped up in the house all day. So I try to limit any walking to a minimum. Though the surgeon said I should force myself to walk with the pain, stopping when it gets unbearable and starting again when it eases. I do try but it gets jading.

Hope you are all enjoying better weather than we are here.

  • Taff I am not planning to do much. We prepared today's dinner last night. It is vegetarian cottage pie so I just have to boil and mash the potatoes for the topping..

-taff - I bought the little box of M&S cream cakes. The box is double layer and has a handle too. Just bite size pastries, they look delicous (if that's possible).

Shopping done, rubbish taken to the tip, my meds picked up and the afternoon tea tray set. I'm now going to watch some catch up TV and make some lists :rotfl:
