Debenhams sold me a faulty coat

Thanks for the advice, the coat was stored away so you might be onto something there with the zip, it wasn't folded as such but might have curved around in the storage box. Lesson learnt for next time at least.0

Thanks, that's exactly what she did, the season was coming to end and she picked them up in the sale, I'm just disappointed for her really as she did a nice thing for us but ultimately she might as well have thrown £40 of her money down the drain and I now need to buy a replacement (no doubt full price) coat. Oh well worse things happen, thanks0

As I said in an earlier post, look at having the zip replaced. £20 where I am for an adult coat, so still cheaper than a new one.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

From experience Boden are much better quality and they have a 365 day return policy (though I haven't used it or looked into what it actually covers). My Mum often buys the "branded" clothes from Debenhams for our daughter and I've found it to be of a pretty poor quality (supermarket level) for the price compared to Boden and M&S.0 -
Why not just get a quote to have a new zip fitted?
It’ll be a much cheaper option. I paid about £8 for a zip to be fitted on a coat where the zip failed.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Hi. Did you take this forward?
We did exactly the same, but, stored in a wardrobe. Over the past two days the zip is just not fastening which is a shame as it’s such a lovely coat.
Plan to return it on the weekend.
Thanks.0
