When closing down outlook express keep getting a message asking that outlook express can compact messages
Have tried this previously and as my past posts will show lost my messages
Is there a work around this or can the message be turned off?
Dont want to lose what messages are present at the moment
Regards
Pete

Interesting, never had that problem before when compacting... you could always decline the compacting, if I remember rightly it asks first before doing it. Also, in Tools/Options, and on one of the tabs make sure "the leave a copy of messages on the server until deleted" is checked - this way if you do lose them from your pc they should be there to download next time you fire up outlook..........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple
