As others have stated jobs in Cornwall are hard to find unless you are a professional and a lot of work is seasonal, I came here forty years ago but worked for a large international company until I retired so was on a good salary and now pension.

While I had no trouble being accepted I found you have to work at it and be prepared for the few that will try to make you feel an outsider, one common remark was that I was taking Cornish peoples jobs to which I always replied if you can do my job then you are welcome to apply for it as my company do not discriminate against anyone.

There are plenty of places to rent at this time of year but the majority are short term out of season rents.

It is a beautiful place to live and I would not want to live anywhere else now but I would be very aware that jobs are hard to come by especially if you already have employment, plus Cornwall is a long way from anywhere especially if you are in the far west of the county as I am.
