Virgin price increase despite promise on website of no increase

Options
Hi,

My Virgin cable just went from £37 to £39.50. I am currently on an offer and in-contract until 20/12/2019.

Virgin's website clearly states :

"What if you’re currently on an offer?

If you’re currently on a promotional offer with us, we will honour it. So that means your increase will happen when this offer comes to an end. You can see the details of your current offer on your latest bill.

We’re making changes to our pricing, but as you’re currently enjoying a fixed price each month, these changes won’t affect you right away."

Despite the above they just fob me off when I phone up.

Anybody else had this problem?

Paul

it's because it's not your contract that has increased but their annual service price increase has.

Ring them up and complain, they’ll more than likely offer you the money in return as a credit on your bill

Thanks, but not sure I understand the difference. Could you clarify a little?
