Companies won't remove default from file

I had a DRO that ended in May 19. There are a couple of companies who still have default oustanding balances listed on my credit file. I have written to the credit controllers with proof of my DRO but nothing has changed. How do I get this changed to show that it is now settled?
Thanks

This is a problem with certain creditors, as some are unsure what the correct process is.
In a nutshell, all defaults should show a zero balance, and the default date should pre-date your DRO.
Normally you have to raise a written complaint with the company concerned, if they still can’t get it right then the FOS is your next port of call.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
