    Thank you

We've teamed up with the National Trust to offer one reader the chance to win a festive family visit to Polesden Lacey on 21 December 2019. The visit (for two adults and two children) will include a private tour of the house, as well as entrance to the grotto, a carriage ride, and £50 to spend on a Christmas lunch in the caf! or spend on gifts in the gift shop.
  • Which royal couple honeymooned there?

Was in 1923 when the then Duke of York married Elizabeth Bowes-Lyons - later I believe King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother - honeymooned for a few days at Polesden Lacey before moving on to Glamis.

Unfortunatley Elizabeth got a cold or flu or something and I believe they never got to Glamis at that time.
