Dumpling, I'm glad you're still fighting, keep going.
Mehefin, I'm sorry to hear this, I was just wondering yesterday how things were going with you.
We had a quiet day yesterday, Steve was feeling under the weather as he seems to a few days after his treatment. We took Ziggy for a gentle walk, although she had a great time racing around looking for squirrels.
Not a lot happening here today either, I am hoping to get a bit of sewing in.0 -
Hello x
Glad Dumpling is fighting on x
I too have a doctors appointment this morning - hope they can help you RedRuby x
Still plodding on doing bits and pieces trying to build up my stamina :j
Hope you all have a good day xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Morning all! OH forgot to set his alarm so he was late for his training course...I am drinking my now cold coffee..I am almost cheering beause I can see very little hanging about now [ at least downstairs] and there are two bags to leave outside a charity shop and scuttle off...
Work meeting went OK. Am seeing a friend lter because she's selling something expensive and I don't want her in the house by herself doing that, so will pick her up from work and loiter scarily in the background quietly brandishing a knife or something...well, probably not a knife...maybe a rolling pin....
Going shopping in a minute to fill up empty cupboard holes, so it's a tale of two SMs to visit...Luckily got the chest freezer last year so am buying a few loaves to put in there, saving going shopping for at least a month exept for veggies etc. Am going to buy milk and put it in there too. When I need it I've never got it, when I don't, it goes off...
mehefin, that's such rubbish news, spoons and hugs to you.
dumpling, good to hear you're hanging in, let them take care of you for a while..Gers, good to know about Edinburgh, I'm owed a belated trip. Take it steady..redruby, totally feel your pain...ask about the steroid injection [ you will stil have to have two weeks off to rest it], have you done all the usual with the tin of beans and stretching on the step? I bought some of these the last time I had pain [ was walking all night with work] and they helped. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00OJA3Y00/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1
Holly, good to see you, you sound chippersnoozer, is Steve still having regular treatment? How long is it scheduled for? AOD, I'm kind of envious in a way, i love learning new things or just learning in general I think, all that has gone by the wayside recently...During cleaning up I found quite a few sketchpads where I would sketch and write ideas..TA, whats going on? nmlc, a dishwasher? I would happily sell [someone else's] soul for a dishwasher. I hate doing dishes and Im really not very good at it, for all I have a separate bowl to rinse....I can't shoehorn one in unless I remove the sink cupboard and as it's only one of three cupboards I have, I'm reduced to sitting by windowsills pining to have one...:)
Hope everyone is having a good day if they can...Tophat Thursday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Morning all,
The nice weather of yesterday has given way to grey skies and drizzle. I was coming back from town yesterday when DS rang to ask if DGD (8 )could come, her other Nan would drop her off.I said in 20 mins as I was still on the bus at that point, though not far away. They practically followed me through the door & there was me hoping for a cuppa & sit down as I'd been lugging heavy shopping around(note to self- take wally trolley next time ) None stop from then on, she loves making a mess, making slime, and painting. On the other hand she made her own lunch, scrambled eggs on toast :T Our hob is induction so fairly safe for her, and she said they were delicious!
DGS is away with Mum,Stepdad and lil bro, and lots of cousins and extended family, they look like they're all having a lovely time
I made a turkey mince shepherds pie type thing topped with sweet potatoes yesterday for DS2 ,got enough for 2 more if I can find room in the freezer  I'm ploughing through a book called the eczema bible, there are some helpful suggestions about which oils and vits/supplements to use,and a list of 'safe' foods - he had been eating loads of broccoli but it turns out there is something in it that can trigger a flare up if susceptible. His skin is def looking better than last week thank goodness, and not as itchy so his mood is better.
My friends DM died last week, she was 90 and had been in a care home for a year. So 2 funerals for me next week, hers Tuesday and my uncles Wednesday
RR you do right to stay off,it sounds horrible.Hope the doc can do something x Snoozer hope Steve is feeling better soon x Hugs to all in need xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
-taff, yes he has to have a maintenance injection every two months for the next two years. It's not chemo or hormones, it's some sort of immune system thing.0

Hi, sorry not to have posted for a long time but have been reading. At the moment the cancer is stable so I am able to do a little bit more. Doing a lot of charity Knitting to use up all those random small balls of wool and then in a mad moment promised to knit a Spider-Man jumper for one of my little grandsons. It is a vintage grid pattern, keep your fingers crossed!
Thinking of many of you and of course particularly Dumpling.0 -
Poppy, great to hear from you, I'm glad things are under control atm.0

Mehefin I was so sorry to hear about your lovely mare, it’s absolutely heartbreaking when you have to say goodbye, thoughts are you all xx0
-
Dumpling, it was great to see your post - keep on going!
Mehefin so sorry about Bruisemare, how sad that she's gone.
Poppy glad to see your post!!
I went to Ho*bycraft and wandered about. The trouble is I see all this stuff then start changing my ideas about what I want to do. If DH hadn't been with me I would probably be there till it closed, looking at things and muttering to myself. I did buy some things towards the cards I'm making,
Taff, I had to laugh at the idea of you lurking in the background with a weapon, while potential buyers of your friends things run away screaming!0
