Can you have the AMEX Plat cashback and Everyday cashback at the same time?

Got a few big purchases coming up soon but my 5% period is over soon

    Slightly confused by your question as neither of the cards mentioned actually offer a 0% promotional period.

    They give 5% cashback for the first 3 months, but my 5% period is over in a week.

    Oh I see. Sorry misread it. No I don't think you can do this. You have already benefited from an Amex promotional offer very recently. Best to make the purchase now before the 5% period ends. Sorry again for misreading your OP.

    Yeah I didn't think it would be possible, and didn't want a failed credit check to find out.

    I know they have an eligibility checker but I don't think it would pick up on something like having an existing card would it?

    The eligibility criteria for the Everyday Platinum states
    I understand I will not be eligible for a Welcome Cashback Bonus if I hold or have held any personal American Express Card in the past 24 months

    As I understand it this is a fairly recent rule that applies to all cards, charge or credit.
