Hello,
I need some advice, I have just paid my council tax payment at the post office at 17.02 today but on the letter it states I need to pay it by 24 October which is tomorrow, and if I didn't paid it, they will send me court summons, by paying by post office just now, have I done it just in time by tomorrow? or is it too late?
Any advice would be great thank you.

If you’re worried ring the council tomorrow and tell them you have made the payment.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

You will need to ring as Post Office payments take between 3 and 5 days to credit the council, and if your account is added to the warrant, the council may be unwilling to remove it due to the costs involved.

Yep, as above, contact the council and tell them. Post office payments have always been a pain due to the time delay in payment getting to the councilI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
