Leasehold Management Company Gone Into Liquidation

Hello,

We are in the process of buying a house and the leasehold management company has gone into liquidation a few months ago. Our solicitor is chasing the liquidators solicitor with enquiries but has yet received a response and its been dragging on for like 8 weeks now, the lender is unwilling to release the funds until a response to enquiries has been received so I was wondering if anyone has ever had any experience of this?

How long does it take for the liquidators solicitor to get back in touch with responses?

Also is it possible we can purchase the freehold at a discounted rate from the liquidator?

I know its probably "how long is a piece of string" type question but i am hoping there may be someone who has experienced this.

Thank you

So who owns the freehold? Are you saying it's the management company?

Or could the issue be that, because the managing agent is in liquidation, so there's nobody to fill in the Leasehold Management Pack forms (LPE1)?

Yes thats correct, the freehold is owned by the management company which has gone into liquidation. And that could well be the case, I presume the liquidators solicitor would need to fill those in?

Its 950 year lease and the current owners and neighbors have never paid ground rent so they didnt even know it was a leasehold!
