Copy of Birth Certificate

I was wondering where the best place to get a copy of a birth certificate is. I've tried one col . admin @ gro . gov . uk without the spaces but it comes up as unsafe and I can't go any further.:o
Sorry if this is in the wrong section.


The one I've got is really damaged but I do have the number of it.

Registry office?

Either from the registration office in the district that you were born in, who may have on-line ordering , or mayor by phone.

Or from the General Register Office.

Whichever way, the statutory cost of a certificate is £11 (although some local offices may charge an extra for postage).

That's the link that comes up as unsafe for me and I can't get past it Tony. Will try and see if towns around where he was born have any links. It's for my son.

I know it's a bit of hassle but it's done there and then, I assume you aren't in the area any longer?
