PCN outside school

I've received a PCN for parking outside the primary school on my home street. I had pulled in onto the zig zag markings to allow the bin lorry and backed up traffic to get past. My street is quite narrow, there's only room for one vehicle when cars are parked on either side. The bin lorry was reversing out of a side street further ahead which was a tight manoeuvre given the parked cars and I was waiting for around 1 minute. Is it worth appealing this or should I just stump up the £35 fine?

Council ticket, or a private parking company (PPC)?

As we major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there (but please note that a hotmail address won't work - try using a throwaway gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering) and post a new thread; here's your link:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=30

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.

PePiPoo has an excellent success record in dealing with council tickets.

    Indeed, go to Pepipoo.
Zigzags are complete no nos to stop on. DYLs are fine, not zigzags.

Hang on, you were giving way to the bin lorry in a narrow street! That cannot possibly be a contravention, it's part of actively driving. Ask on pepipoo!
