Laboratory Placement

Hi there everyone, Im a final year student studying Biomedical sciences, and recetly embarked on my dissertation. My chosen area of research will be stem cells. Im currently looking for lab placements have emailed a few labs but have had no joy. does anyone know of labs specialising in stem cell research any science students in here? Your help would be much appreciated il even mention u in my acknowledgments!!!

don't you have a named supervisor in your department to help with this? the best place to start is your own university, or through contacts that people in your department have. i guess i'd be inclined to suggest that if you can't get a placement easily, change topic to get into a lab where you are already. but you should be getting help on this - i can't think of any academics who would respond to a random email from an undergrad student about a placement.

Plus most placements would have been organised ages ago. After all there is only 1 semester left in this year -hardly any time!

Go through your university, a company is very unlikely to respond this late.
