Travel insurance whilst living in China

Any recommendations? My son works in China and needs an annual travel insurance for trips outside China and for trips home to Uk. I particularly need one to cover flight delays and strikes as he has just booked with BA. Not sure the one he has atm with Expatriate would cover this. Would cost about £219 to include this.

I have seen World nomad mentioned here a several times, but have no direct experience with them.
I assume there is no locally available insurance in China or you don't trust it.0
