Why would they? This packaged account offer(ed) preferential interest rates in exchange for a monthly fee and a minimum deposit each month. The interest rate was slashed in half in 2016, but the same was true of other banks at the time.

So on what basis would you complain that the account was mis-sold to you, bearing in mind that you doubtless enjoyed the interest rate benefits?

On what basis?

Yes some people would have been refunded. However, some people would not have.

For example, someone making a first time mistake of going over their limit may get a goodwill refund as its their first time.

A spouse of a recently deceased person not following their banking carefully during a period of distress may well get a refund.

Someone who has lost their job and now finds themselves in financial hardship may get some recent bank charges refunded as goodwill gesture.

Someone complaining about unfair bank charges hasnt a hope in hell.

So, one what basis are you looking at as any answer would be pointless without knowing the context.
