Off topic, vans blocking my street overnight

I have a problem with a sometimes large van, lorry or a minibus blocking my street when it parks overnight. I have no idea who's it is, its nobody on my street though. Same company (they are a hire company and 90% of hires are to the local council). Anyway, it is parked right on the corner, blocking a neighbors drive (house has been empty for months but there is now a tenant moving in) and it is that wide that to get by it, I have to drive my car over the grass verge (that is already churned up so its more like a kerb and a ditch).
Who do I complain too? My tyre is going to get a puncture or my car is going to get stuck if I have to keep going over this verge!
Please help!

Contact the hire company with the reg number, they will know who is hiring it. Police might be able to do something if causing an obstruction but you could wait forever for them to come out, took them 2 days when a friend's car was blocked in on her drive by an abandoned car, so would complain to the hire company first.
For now maybe a polite note on the windscreen might help. One day I might be more organised...........

Complain to your local council's parking department, I'm sure they would be really interested that it's causing damage to the foot way by other vehicles having to drive over it. Also if there's a phone number on the vehicle, ring it and report it to the company with all the vehicle details, make, model, reg no and times it's parked there.
We have a similar situation in our road, a new resident has moved in and parks his wide bodied van 2 wheels up on the kerb (which we are allowed to do) but as it's so wide no one can get past on the pavement - including my disabled neighbour in his motorised buggy
However, the company didn't want to know when they were phoned - but the council were extremely interested, and even sent their new state of the art CCTV car round! They said they will 'teach him a lesson'.....whatever that means!

Well, took a note of the Registration plate. It's been there since Friday night. It's a small lorry, not sure what size, but too big to be there anyway, whats worse is that whoever drives it must stay streets away, cheeky sod!
Council recently put a sign up to stop another neighbor taking his works van and parking it behind the houses (its an access road incase of fire) so I hope they will do something about this too.
Will call them tomorrow and call the company. No point calling the police about it, may call for their 'advice' anyway...
Thanks!0 -
I'd call the police and state it seems abandoned and is obstructing the road. Mention access for a fire vehicle. They are usually pretty decent at removing vehicles if they are actually blocking the road!0
