Boiler Service

I've got my boiler service booked for next week, should I put the heating on now or wait till after? Like do they need to know it's running ok or something? (Trying to delay on as long as possible to save money)

They will definitely need to know if it's running. But I would hope they check that as part of the service.
To me, trying the heating beforehand has the advantage that if the heating won't start, then you can tell the plumbers before they get to you. That way they have more opportunity to fix it. Otherwise, they are very unlikely to have any parts needed. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Use your boiler as normal!
Just leave it off on the day he/she attends if possible. It’s not nice taking red hot boilers apart!! ☹️0
