Ban on UK flights to Sharm el-Sheikh lifted after four years
I am already planning my return for late 2020. I was there caught up in the mess from the bombing of the Russian plane in 2015 and was delayed coming home by 4 days- I even made it onto Egyptian TV! Looking forward to going back.

This is great news. I can now start thinking about taking my family (inc. our baby who's under 1 year) out to see my sister who lives out in Sharm.
A minimum of 4 flights for a holiday was too much to take a baby.2021

Glad the flying ban has been lifted but rather too late I fear to be very meaningful for this winter’s season to Sharm.
The main Tour Operators will not have contracted hotel rooms for this upcoming winter season and securing a charter flying programme may be difficult at this late stage. Aircraft will be planned and committed elsewhere.
At best we may seem a limited flying programme from possibly EasyJet or even BA for direct Sharm flying from one or two U.K. points. Pegasus may possibly ramp up flight options via IST. I suspect limited options for the rest of this year and into next.
I suspect Winter 20/21 will be ramped up with TUI back there and possibly Jet2.0

In case anyone is looking to book for this winter, Egypt specialist Red Sea Holidays has Sharm back on sale with a weekly charter flight commencing December 22 from Gatwick with Enter Air.0

Hopefully this might drive down the prices in Hurgarda.0

            Hi
TUI have added 4 hotels in Sharm el Sheikh today from February.
But they are all 5 star and very expensive.
When I stayed in 3 star hotels in Sharm, they were all full of British, and less expensive.
They were mostly booked with Thomas Cook and Monarch.
Will someone be offering package holidays to Sharm to the 3 star hotels?0

We went four years running to an (allegedly) five star hotel in Nabq Bay. Reading reviews of it recently, it sounds as if it has got rather rundown in the last four years, and might not be to the standard that Tui expects without some refurbishment. Perhaps this has happened to a lot of the hotels that were previously featured. Just a thought.0

As you say probably due to the lack of business from the uk,might take a few years or them to get back up to standard.0
