[Can't get the search to work on my tablet in order to find whether this has already been answered elsewhere, and my brain isn't up to anything more than a quick Google which didn't give me the answer.]
For claiming LCWRA element of UC, am I right in thinking the fit notes have to be continuous from the start of not being fit for work?
I'm awaiting a WCA so still sending in fit notes. My most recent one ran out on Friday 18th; I phoned the surgery on that day and was told to phone on Monday (21st, which I did) and today asked what the dates were in order to report the new fit note. The old one ran out on the 18th and the new one is from the 21st - I explained I thought it needed to be continuous for benefit purposes so the receptionist said she'd speak to the Dr.
I just want to be sure whether I'm correct or not, if it doesn't matter because the break is over weekend days then I don't need to waste their time looking into it.

The new fit note will need to be dated from when the previous one ended.0

Hi Spoonie, my experience is that a few days discrepancy between dates on fit notes won't matter.
Please ensure that the 'refer to WCA' process has been raised by your Case Manager in the Service centre.
