Scottish Power and Quidco question?

I'm wanting to change both electricity and gas to Scottish Power via Quidco. Quidco say on their website next to Scottish Power that they are offering £61 cashback for a successful duel fuel sale until October 31st. I saw this offer before October 31st 2007 and wrote to Quidco asking if the offer would still be available after October 31st but Quidco have not replied to my query. I would like to go ahead with it but don't know if this cashback offer relates to October 31st 2007 or 2008. Since Quidco never seem to answer any emails I send them I do not know what year this offer actually applies to and it is still on their site which makes it even more confusing. Does anyone know? Has anyone done the Scottish Power duel fuel offer after October 31st this year and successfully got the £61 cashback from Quidco? Thanks.

My sisters just switched with them thru quidco, I'll get her to let me know what it comes up as. I'm guessing that if its not £61 (which has probably been extended, just they forgot to update the site - they don't normally tell you what date an offer expires), then its most likely to be around £40.

Have SP come out best for you on www.energyhelpline.com
Looking at BG and Powergen, both offer about £60 on Quidco.
Be careful with that expiry date that Quidco show as they will not honour any payment if it's their mess up.They are all very clever now with their small print even if they have honoured the contract.
Ask them about Weststar Holidays paying 7% only for them to say the contract was showing just £3.50 for each transaction.
Personally I go to the contact page and keep sending them emails every day.
I had a look at the blog but haven't found SP
  • I've found that Scottish Power was best for me and I'd been waiting for reply from Quidco to verify the cashback amount but now see that they are offering £42 for dual fuel.

Greasypalm are giving £50 until 1st December. So this evening I've gone with greasypalm instead.
  • Scottish power was the best for me so I went with that. It is £42 and I did it before 31st October. I have just looked on quidco and it says £42 still when I do a search. The £42 has just been paid on my quidco today. So I would say it is £42 and not the £61. Hope this helps you.

Has anyone received the voucher and cashback then?
Tempted to switch to stay a little while with SP however the Southern fixed deal(to Nov88) is good providing the rates go up.

Hi, I just switched online to Scottish Power yesterday, and already my quidco is showing £61 tracked. I hope this means I will definitely get paid.

Quidco now state up to Dec 18th under Savvy Tips on home page.

Can anybody tell me how long the transfer takes as I signed up over 5 weeks ago but have heard nothing since.

    Quidco tracked almost immediately though.
Funnily enough Southern ( who I am with via Ebico ) are sending me a £20 Argos voucher as a loyalty bonus.
Hope I get the Scottish voucher too.

Any change of supply should take 6-8 weeks but it's not uncommon for them to take 6 months and longer HJ (thats to get a first bill though so in this scenario you have been tranferred and they are delayed in billing your account. That occurs when there are data issues though and the majority of customers don't have that.

Have they given you as a transfer date yet so you can provide a reading? I would let it get to week 6 and then give them a prod. You could leave it until week 8 and do it though as they have had enough time then but you should have received a letter by now anyway.

Thanks for that. I will do as you suggest. They seem poor at keeping people informed. It would only take an email.
