Pet Insurance - Pre-Exisiting

Hi there,
Our dog is due an operation on Thursday (24/10) to remove two cysts from her eye sclera.
Her original insurance I stopped yesterday due to going up, it was already too high for the cover needed.
Now I believe this operation is regarded as a pre-existing condition. The cost of the operation is nearly £400, it's certainly not worth getting pre-existing cover for as this is not a re-occurring condition.
Just looking for some advise to whether it really is a pre-existing? Would my best option be to pay the operation cost and then normal insurance.
Thanks
Tom

No policy will pay out for an operation that's already scheduled when you take out the policy, so you're going to have to pay for the op - that's for certain.
You'll be asked about all previous vet visits, symptoms, conditions and treatments when getting quotes for a new policy and eye problems will almost certainly be excluded.0
