If I mention supercard in DS listing will it get pulled?

I have a Nintendo DS that I want to list on ebay. It has a couple of faults that are getting mentioned along with the fact that due to faults being listed its sold as seen and non returnable.

First fault is that the touch screen is on its way out but easily replaced for roughly £14. It still works but is patchy in top left quarter of screen.

Second fault is that the top DS game slot doesn't work. It won't hold a game in just spits them out. I got round this when it broke by flashing the DS and using a supercard. Obviously I want to mention that the whilst the slot doesn't work games can still be played on it. (Most people would think that supercards are illegal but they aren't if used for running homebrew and playing backups of games that you own)

So my question is that if I mention the supercard will the listing be pulled as it can potentially be used illegally?

Or should I just list the faults but not mention the supercard and hope for the best?

Definately? Even though there is a supercard listed right now? What happens if I list it and it gets pulled.....a slapped wrist...or a suspension?

You know it's easy to fix your DS, right? You can buy a new housing for under £4 from dealextreme. The touch screen can als be picked up from there, with free shipping.

Its not the housing that is the problem. Its the slot that you put the game cart into. Once you push the cart in there is a pin that holds the cart in place but the bit the pin holds against is broken off. Hubby said you would need to replace the whole slot thingy thats soldered to the board. Not an easy job to do.

hi can you get new screens for ds not lite and do you have to be techno minded to do it cheers my sons is on the way out and thought id have to get a new one

Why not just sell it as faulty. Then any buyer has no comeback!

Yes you can get new touch screens for about £14 but hubby says its a delicate job and you do have to be techno minded. Having said that there are tutorials/videos on youtube showing how its done.

I am planning on listing it as faulty with no returns or refunds but wanted to mention it will still play games with the supercard to maximise the bids.

I wouldn't say it's a job which requires that much technical know now. All it takes it time, patience and research. Make sure you look at the many youtube videos and help guides to help you along your way. I've tackled many things by doing this, from unlocking and debranding my N73 to fixing a friend's DS (top and bottom completely split apart - new ribbon cable and a small amount of soldering and it's fine, including replacing the entire casing). I've fixed mass storage devices and fiddled with the firmware on many PSPs all because I'm willing to give it a go and use the information available on the net. It works, you know.
