Lease Car Delivery Checklist

Hi

I am getting a brand new Lease car delivered on Friday. I am putting together a delivery checklist to go over when I recieve the car and before I sign for it. Below is what I am going to be checking, anyone know of anything else I should be checking?

• Check the paintwork for scratches, stone chips, swirls, etc.
• Check the alloy wheels for any damage
• Check the windscreen for cracks or chips
• Check the engine warning lights
• Check the interior and exterior colour are correct
• Check the sat nav is working
• Check any options listed on the order form, one by one
• Check the interior for any scuffs or damage
• Check that you have the locking wheel nuts

How is it being delivered? If driven there is a clause to allow for stone chips, as for swirls, depends on the make , swirls are standard on many new cars by the looks of things.
May seem obvious but check it's the right make model and colour as ordered.

After my friend bought 500 mile car with broken vanity mirror, I check it now on every car. Otherwise, your list is quite comprehensive and you should be fine.

Don't expect paint to be perfect, it may look pretty awful if dealer washed the car pre-delivery.

Check the air con is working. Properly. Run it full blast on cold and make sure it is icy cold air coming out

I had a couple of minor issues when my lease was delivered, there was a scratch across the instrument panel, I polished that out myself. Also, they dropped the bonnet down without putting the support arm back, so chipped the underside of bonnet. No big issue, I got touch up paint and set of mats as it took months of complaining. That was Mazda.
