Hiya,
I really need urgent advice as I'm reallyy worried about everything. I am a full time student on a full time course which at the end of the 1st year, I failed 2 of the 4 modules (due to reasons I won't disclose here) and are redoing them & as of 2019/20 I am now a part time student who has now been ordered to pay council tax which I can't pay for as I'm living in student accommodation with a student loan which only covers the necessities and I don't know what to do.
Thank you for any advice in advance.

If you are a part time student could you not get a part time job? Shops and hotels and Royal Mail will need extra staff for the Christmas period.0

It's only full time students who don't pay council tax, they assume that part time students can/do work. You should be able to get a 1 person discount if the others are all students, this usually reduces the council tax by 25%. It may be wise to apply for council tax benefit due to your income, it should reduce it even further and they will look at how much you are able to pay. You may need to claim Universal Credit to get this though.0
