Misled by new house builder help needed

Basic decency? It sounds like the other buyers were asked whether a compromise could be reached. Presumably one that would be fair and written into contract. Instead they have clung to their control of a few measly paving stones, rather than help a fellow human access their house. I find that sad.And why not? All the legals say it's their exclusive path, after all.
Now imagine it was a driveway...0 -
Did you see the update? The "exclusivity" came about because they asked for it. The solicitors agreed... without thinking about next door.
Because, of course, the solicitors never visit the site.0 -
##Update##. the MD of the builders wants to meet my daughter at the site next week together with the estate agent. It will be interesting to hear the version of events.0

"The version of events" is irrelevant. Pointing fingers doesn't move things forward.
The only way this is moving forward is for...
1. A new path to be put in.
-or-
2. Next door to go back on the exclusive use of the path they negotiated as part of their purchase.
The second of those is massively unlikely to happen, and even if it does, the neighbours will hate your daughter forever.0 -

Keep us posted with the outcome! Hate it when we don't find out what happened.
