Hi All,
This is my first post and I'm not sure if it's allowed.
I'm due to complete on a buy to let property in a few weeks and need building insurance in place for completion. Is there any brokers who can message me for some details so I can get a quote?
Thanks for your help.

Try a local broker in your area preferably one that specialises in Commercial Insurance (Avoid Swintons) it can be handy to have someone to pop into and a good broker will explain the policy to you especially any restrictions
Alternatively Direct Line have a good product0 -
Presumably your mortage provider can arrange suitable insurance?
Often worthwhile for the first year to take adavantage of that (although it may not be the cheapest solution), else your mortgage application may be delayed pending you getting insured.
Of course, as the house will not be owned by you when you are seeking that insurance, most insurers will tell you to come back once you have purchased it.
Hence my suggestion0 -

Personally I would just ignore this post.
I would go with dacouch, find a local insurance broker (not swintons). Most mortgage brokers could help with this, but to be honest, we have access to about 5 companies and the prices will be fine. But most mortgage brokers offer house insurance as a service rather than it being central to their business where as an insurance broker, it is all they do.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Personally I would just ignore this arrogant user only interested in self promoting their own business.
No1 on my list. Congratulations! :cool:0 -

I am saying I would use an insurance broker NOT a Mortgage broker.... I am a Mortgage Broker.
I am doing the complete opposite of what you are saying I am doing :rotfl:
I called your post out for what it is (in my opinion), wrong. I generate quotes for a lot of our customers before they own the property. No need to make it personal, I might be a little direct at times, but we are all adults.
I come on this forum to help people, not to generate business. We have been turning away new business for the last 2 weeks because we have been run off our feet, yet I have still been posting.
Not that I need to explain why I am on here, but when I was starting out, this forum was a great website to help me learn about real life examples rather than what was in the books. I used to go off and research them myself even though they were never my customers. I am giving back and I expect nothing in return.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
