Guy says the electrical problems are sorted but put it in for an MOT last Tuesday (12th ) but it failed on "ns and os rear upper bushes".
The guys says he had to order from Chrysler so it's taking a while to get delivered ... this can't be right, surely?

    Shouldn't take almost 2 weeks??
Two second google finds lots of places with them in stock, but probably not OEM quality. I have no idea whether Fiat-Chrysler UK have any in stock, or whether they're having to come from wherever the main centralised parts warehouse is - Turin?

  • Guy sent me a message today, saying the price has gone up to £270 + VAT.

Can anyone confirm what it is I actually need?

Nearside Rear Upper Suspension arm pin or bush excessively worn outer bush @ hub (5.3.4 (a) (i))
Offside Rear Upper Suspension arm pin or bush excessively worn outer bush @ hub (5.3.4 (a) (i))

What exactly does that mean? Worn outer bush, is that this : https://www.euspares.co.uk/parts/aisin/12863136?fbclid=IwAR2YcxcbDf54fzvT_0NYuilzqhwt6QRcd7UYw3jOjoHwcbvHKdAW-RtiWtE

or is it referring to an arm, like in the post above?

That bush says "lower". Your fails say "upper".

This is a full kit for the rear suspension...

Good news. The price difference doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Dealer prices do tend towards the ludicrous.

I hope the eBay one was from a decent brand, else I have a suspicion you'll be back for another sooner rather than later. There's an awful lot of utter rubbish suspension parts being sold on price alone.

It's been almost 6 weeks in the garage now, if it lasts a year I'll be happy ... just happy to get the car back, turns out Joni Mitchel was right ... "You don't know what you've got 'till it's gone"
