Hi there
I am due in court on Tuesday and I called the solicitors dealing with the case on behalf of the Halifax. They informed me that they were no longer dealing with the case and that Halifax took it back and they would get someone to call me. A very abrupt woman call me who wouldn't give her name saying why was I contacting them and there is no need to go to court they would let me know the outcome and they are applying for a stay anyway. I obviously will be going to court! Then a letter came in the post from Eversheds saying this:-
Please note this is not a payment demand. Please note that on 12th November 2007, Halifax Bank of Scotland sold and transferred your account xxxxxxxxx to MAX Recovery Limited. Your account will be administered on behalf of MAX Recovery Limited by Eversheds LLP.
This letter is for your information only and you do not need to take any action. A letter will also be sent to your Supervisor or Trustee.
Should you have any queries, please do not contact this office.
For the avoidance of doubt, we will be dealing direct with your Supervisor/Trustee in Bankruptcy as required by law and it is extremely unlikely you will be contacted by us again. There is no need to respond to this letter.
Yours faithfully
Can anyone shed any light on this before I go to court, should I still go?
Thanks
Katherine

You should still go and take that letter with you. I'm sure the judge will be quite disgusted with it.0
