water and clothes stuck in washing machine

Wonder if any kind people could help me? My washing machine has broken and the clothes are stuck inside along with half a barrel of water  and the door is locked. How can I get them out without flooding the kitchen?

The machine is a Candy Aqua 1500.

I would appreciate any help. I am being positive and posting on here rather than sitting in the corner crying lol.

tou should be able to drain the machine manually. There is usually a bit at the bottom of the machine at the front that you can remove. If you remove this there may be a manual drain and drain the water into a tray. The door should then open. Have you tried to put the washing machine on a spin cycle as this might do the job
  • Hi
If you can get to the waste hose drain it that way into a bucket. The filter drain will take quite a long time.

Canucklehead - thank you too. I was off doing the manual drain when you posted. My sincere thanks for your help too.

  • i have a candy washing machine and mine was doing this too. The pump had gone (technically I found out later it had an underwire stuck in it). I bought a new pump for about £12 off the net, took the old one out, put in the new one and it works a treat again. Dead simple to do, far cheaper than getting someone out to look at it.

our machine is next to the back door. and we have a large step outside.
its a simple matter to put the waste outlet pipe out the door and just let it drain off.
    Get some gorm.
