Hi all, i have a question about income protection insurence.
Can you claim your income protection insurence from day 1 if you get full sick pay for 5 months from work ?
The reason im asking is i used to have income protection to make my shift pay up if were to be on sick for more than 30 days (only my basic salary was paid). My protection insurence has now finished and was wondering about starting a new one bit im no longer on shifts so dont get any shift premium any more, however i do work overtime regularly that wont be paid on sick.
Somebody at work mentioned i couldnt make a claim if i was getting my salary paid by work because if no oveertime was available i wouldnt be loosing out on income. Is this correct ?
Thanks
Gary

income protection to start from day will be very expensive, usually people make it start after 6 months or 1 year for example in order to reduce premiums.
I suggest to engage in a broker to get one tailored to you"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
