Credit Score not going up

  • Nor my phone contract or my home telephone contract show up on my credit report. It's a big change since 10 years ago when they would always show up on your credit report.

    Who are the providers?
  • A credit score is a good way to gauge whether you're improving as a prospective borrower or not.

    It’s really really not.

A simple search through this board for 10 minutes will show you how irrelevant it is and also, how way off the mark it is.
  • Well your suggestion to get a credit card isn’t actually helpful for me as no credit card will take me and I don’t understand why personally but that’s just how it is for me. I would gladly take out a credit card to up my credit rating but I can’t :/

Don’t take a card to “up your rating”.

Do it to build a credit history.

Again, pay no attention to the scores and ratings

It's only not helpful if you don't read the full suggestion.

When you get the full time job, try then.

have to 100% agree with crys. Do not get rid of LOQBOX. I too have a loqbox account and i am paying £200 in each month. Think of it as saving £200 a month and after 12 months you get all your money back plus a nice big loan settled with green ticks on your credit history.

Perfect for people with bad credit or not credit. It is on your files, it will show up as DCC solutions or something.

I do not understand why people say 'get rid of it', then say be patient and build your score up. Makes no sense. The reason to have the loqbox loan in the first place is for people with bad credit or no credit. They cant still be patient whilst having this loan building up your credit history.

At the end of the 12 months you can pay 30 quid to get your money back or use one of their partners accounts to get your full money back. Brilliant idea and it has really helped me, ive 9 months in.

This is perfect for people who have bad history or no history!

its been mentioned in a few posts here. Regardless the point here is that loqbox works for this particular person so no need for him to lose it. Granted if you had a good credit score and could get some credit or cards etc then loqbox would be useless. But its perfect for the OP and people in similar situations.

Again what does the score have to do with any of this?
