Gladstones/pcm claim form

Hi, I hope it's OK to post this. I have looked through the newbies but am a bit overwhelmed at all the info and I really need some help with this. To try and cut it short, moved into h.a estate with private parking 12 years ago. Lots of others using the parking spaces so a few years ago the h.a decided to farm it out to private parking firm with permits. This changed to pcm UK Ltd. Signs stating permits must be shown in windscreens at all times are up. My work van has had a permit all this time. One night it fell off the windscreen onto the dashboard and I received a ticket at 2am, put it back and it happened again a few nights later and I got another ticket at 4am, it now is very firmly attatched. No tickets were left on the windscreen were sent to my works fleet. Work passed it on and on receipt of the van we are responsible for all tickets received. I appealed as I had a permit, it was in the van and had to register online to get it and they refused the appeal. Housing association refuse to do anything saying they hold no responsibility and we have to pay. I have ignored all letters since. Also wife has been having treatment for breast cancer during all this so this was put at the back of to do list tbh. Now I have received a County Court letter and need to respond within 28 days as of the 7th October, but have only just received it. There are photos, and you can see a slight bit of white on the dash where it's fallen. Where do I stand and what do I put as defence because I really don't think I should have to pay. They are requesting £418.69, payable to gladstones.

Post the issue date from the top of the claim form below
Yes it's complicated , but you won't get better advice than what is in that newbies thread
Do the AOS online as directed in that newbies thread post 2
Email a SAR to the DPO at the PPC and attach a copy of the V5C and the claim form as proof of I D under the GDPR law
Start drafting your defence based on the examples in that post #2 and post it below
You do the work , then people will advise you , but nobody will do it for you , it's not pass the parcel , so get up to speed ASAP0 -
Thank you, I dont have the v5c as its a work vehicle and my dyslexia is making this very difficult. I have looked and I can't see anything that relates to a fallen permit so I am completely clueless as to what or even if I have a defence. I do apolohise0

No need to apologise, we understand the problems of dyslexia
As it's not your vehicle, has your company passed your details to the PPC.
Gladstones are well known incompetent scammers so let's take this step by step0 -
No they just sent on the letters from pcm, I appealed the tickets as i do have a permit and it had just slipped down into dashboard. So all correspondence since has been sen tto me0

The other issue is if I have to go to court the court is in Northampton and I'm in croydon, do I have to go to Northampton for the hearing0
-
You don't have that issue, no-one goes to Northampton.
You will need to read the NEWBIES thread again, as this is all explained in post #2.
Stop looking for something about 'permits having slipped down'! Of course the NEWBIES thread is not about that level of detail, it doesn't need to be. No-one cares about that.
What is the issue date of the N1 claim form (top right)?
Why not just search the forum for PCM defence as keywords, and copy & adapt one?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -

Actually that is good, make sure you tell your company that you are handling this otherwise they might be tempted to pay.
So, Gladstones are a pathetic legal firm who scam people and the courts know this and in your case, a slipped or fluttering ticket is considered timewasting, Gladstones do a lot of timewasting
Please give a breakdown of their claim0 -
Amount claimed 333.69
Court fee. 35.00
Legal rep costs. 50.00
Total. 418.69.
This is for 2 times close together as window holder had lost its clinginess0 -
