MSE Credit Club Credit utilisation

I have a couple of stoozing cards that were interest free until recently, so I naturally paid one off when the promo ended, and suspiciously, MBNA took 2 months to update my credit file with that fact. Now that they finally have my total utilisation has dropped from ~80% to ~35%, but the Credit Club "interest points" still suggest I still have a high ratio, and I think this is reflected in my credit score too. It's no big deal as I'm not planning to need to take out any credit, but I find this a tad strange. What are the thresholds for low/med/high utilisation?

  • Ignore what MSE Credit Club says about utilisation. It is irrelevant. What is important is that you manage your credit accounts successfully. Also, when you make the minimum contractual payments while stoozing, Experian records a 'promo' marker...

Fair enough, seems a bit weird to have it if it's worked out so poorly though. And thanks for the advice, I always round up the payments for precisely that reason. Even if it's just a quid or two more than the minimum then they can't flag you with the minimum repayment flag :)
