Can you buy some bus tickets and scratch them off for use on the days you have no money?

Or do your bus company do a pre-paid card which only goes down when used? It's not a weekly bus pass but you top it up with a certain amount of journeys.

Or try and save some coppers / small silver in a little jar for absolute emergency to get you to work? (I have resorted to 1p, 2p and 5p for my bus fare at times).

Somehow you do need to try and get a day or two of bus fares together.

Are there many other suitable jobs near you where it's a bigger company eg national well-known, and therefore reliable with paying wages or quickly sort it out.

If you have the £45 that you would have used for your holiday then that's great. Put it somewhere you won't be tempted and it will at least be a safety net if this happens again.
