Sterilising fluid e.g. Milton. Then a good wash ,great for cups and teaspoons and vases too.

The OXY laundry cleaning crystals work well too - like Vanish, Astonish etc. I bought a pot of coffee and tea stain remover, then found that it's exactly the same stuff as the laundry variant, but three times the price.

Half a teaspoon, boiling water, leave it for a bit, wash in hot soapy water, sparkly new. I do all my coffee cups, cafetieres, jugs, flasks etc. periodically.

Napisan is the same stuff as Vanish.
  • We drink both tea and coffee without milk or sugar. I buy baby bottle sterilizer from Boyes, its under £1 for a large bottle, do our mugs etc a couple of times a week.
