The danger is if the direct debit fails for any reason, you could end up being clamped if you don't realise it hasn't been paid.
Unlikely but possible.
You get plenty of warning prior to the DD payment which also gives the date payment will be taken. Like most cautious people I check my bank account at least once a week so if payment hadn't gone through I would soon know.0 -
