Well yes exactly, like a mini brexit every year
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0 -

A very big difference between prepping and not only for Brexit but for unforeseen things and weather events too and stockpiling of goods. However earlier on in the Prepping for Brexit posts there are some fairly vociferous posts shouting down prepping in general because we were 'taking the food from the food banks and ought to give all of our stocks to them because we were bad people for prepping in the first place' or words very similar. One of those damned if you do and damned if you don't situations.0

I am disabled and only get to the shops if someone drives me there and back. In bad weather i can't get out. Last winter i had 4 compression fractures in my back and couldn't move without severe pain. If i hadn't had a store cupboard i would have had a very limited diet. I prep not for brexit but for days or weeks of illness or icy weather. I shop online and get everything delivered.0

Same in my area but it's been like that for weeks and in most stores too. Managed to pick up a couple of packs in one of the discount stores, not for Brexit but because I'd run out.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

With possible supply-chain mayhem in mind, I am keeping my normal store-cupboard stocks a little more well-updated than usual at this point in time. But that's normal for us; we're in a technically-rural small town that's very much at the end of the supply chain, and our two small supermarkets run out of basic items like flour quite often. But we'll be OK for potted orchids & expensive chocolate, should TSHTF...Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

I went to 3 stores today and they had no ibuprofen apart from the branded expensive capsule type.
Last week when I was trailing around shops I couldn’t get the cheap paracetamol.
I’m not stockpiling by the way as I actually needed a couple of boxes for work and home.0 -
I noticed in Tesco last week there wasn't any paracetamol. I'm not stock piling either, just a regular box for the bathroom.0

Aldi have been out of stock of 'value' penne for over a week, and several other types of pasta are out of stock too. :mad:A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
