Third party wanting money

Options
Good afternoon guys
Thank you for accepting me to this group
I’m really angry/upset and hope you can help me.
In August before ppi deadline I came on to the Martin Lewis helpsite and as there was”free templates” to help, I clicked onto the resolver site and completed the relevant form to escalate my claim...
I had one with Black horse finance, the only communication I got from them was a letter, after about 6 weeks, saying that their complaints department had upheld my complaint/claim and I was to
Be awarded a nice little amount back, I’ve had the cheque and it’s been cashed into my bank account, thank you very much!!
Today I’ve received a letter saying that I now have to pay another company fees to Them for sorting out my ppi!!!
I would like to say that “ NEVER ONCE DID BHFINANCE CONTACT ME TO SAY THEY HAD
INSTRUCTED A THIRD PARTY TO INVESTIGATE MY CLAIM
I saw nothing in the template letter either to make me aware a fee would be payable by me!!!
As I’m registered disabled and unable to work this payment was going to be a great help
Now, I’m gutted and upset that a third party company wants a fee!!
Please help!!! I can forward copies of all correspondence I’ve received
😢😢

Black Horse Finance would not have instructed anyone to investigate your complaint. No third party would be capable of investigating your complaint. Black Horse Finance will have investigated your complaint on their todsky.

But clearly they have notified a CMC of your successful complaint. Rack your brains; doesn't the name of this third party ring any bells?

A company cannot take a fee from you unless you enter in to a contract with them.

That does not prevent scammers trying it on though.

CMCs are regulated by the FCA and you have access to the FOS with them now. So, if you are unhappy with a CMC and think they are behaving badly then complain to them. If they reject your complaint, refer it to the FOS.
