Double CCJ discovered...

That looks like a real CCJ, but do undertake your own checks to authenticate. It wouldn’t be the first time BWL got something wrong. The letter from bw legal states that "on 07 February 2017 our client obtained a county court judgement against you under number xxxxxxxx"
So I'm assuming that it is a ccj already issued and not just a request of payment from them for the basic parking charge plus costs? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Ok, so I have just done a trust online check to my name and address. It only shows ONE ccj in my name (the original one that showed up on my clear score from Dec 2016)
This changes everything! But I'm a little more confused now....
How come this bw legal letter is STATING a notice of county court judgement was filed against me in February 2017?? It even states a claim number.
Would they be this bold to outright fabricate a ccj against my name?
I'm about to go through the bw legal threads on here and see what I can find.0 -

Bouncy Kev isn't known to me, but I'm assuming he's not one of the good guys?!
Could somebody point me in the direction of what I should do regarding that seemingly 'fake' ccj claim against me?
Also, I would still like to try and get the original ccj against me set aside. The reason I ignored it was because I was sceptical it was a scam at the time, and this newest scam has proved I had grounds to be sceptical!0 -
Here's a re-hash of a response that another poster wrote when BW Legal did this to someone, where they were offering a 'discount' to settle it (same with you?):
Dear BW Legal,
WITHOUT PREJUDICE SAVE AS TO COSTS
I have received your letter dated xx/xx/xx where you allege that "on 07 February 2017 our client obtained a county court judgement against you under number xxxxxxxx". However, I have just checked Registry Trust online, and there are no CCJs from February 2017 recorded against my name.
I can only conclude that this is at best an abuse of process, or at worst a criminal scam, on your part. The fact that you are offering a 40% ‘discount’ is further evidence that this allegation is bogus. I was already aware that the pondlife solicitors who act for private parking companies employ dubious and deceitful tactics, but to attempt to extort monies by using the threat of a non-existent Judgment, reaches new depths of utterly unacceptable behaviour, and directly contravenes the SRA Code of Conduct.
By processing my data in this unlawful way, you have acted in breach of the Data Protection Act 2018. In the alternative, your actions cross the threshold of harassment, pursuant to Section 1(1)(a) and (b) of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
I am now contemplating legal proceedings against BW Legal Services Limited T/A BW Legal under either, or both, of the above causes of action, unless I receive a compensatory payment from you in the sum of £750 to settle the matter.
Your remittance must be received within 14 days of this letter, failing which proceedings will be issued in the County Court without further reference to yourselves. A Judgment against you may have a detrimental effect on your company’s credit rating, and you may also incur further costs for court fees, interest, and enforcement by High Court Enforcement Officers, with powers to force entry to your business premises and seize company assets.
If you are unsure as to how to respond to this letter, I suggest that you seek advice at your local Citizens' Advice Bureau as soon as possible.

Thanks coupon-mad, I will enjoy using that as my template and forwarding onto them! They haven't offered me any discount, but that's irrelevant considering they have seemingly fabricated a ccj against me.... unbelievable scumbags!
Do you think I have any chance of getting my original ccj set aside still, if I use this outright scam as evidence of me not believing the original one was genuine? Thanks so much so far for everyone's help, I'm feeling so much more positive and determined to take these thieves on!0 -
I'd give it a go for the other CCJ, yes.
You could even say that this scam letter made you revisit the issue and you only realised in OCTOBER 2019 that there was a real CCJ, but not the one they claimed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Great idea, I will do that, as long as there will be no comeback on me enquiring about it back in April with Nottingham and with clear Score? (I obviously won't be mentioning it!)
With regards to me replying to bw legal about the fake ccj, should I expect a reply from them or will that be the end of it?0 -
I doubt it will ‘be the end of it’. They may not even read your letter - this is very much a roboclaim operation and only when things get nearer the business end does anyone go through the documentation. With regards to me replying to bw legal about the fake ccj, should I expect a reply from them or will that be the end of it?
But your guess is pretty much as good as ours. Let us know what happens. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
