Can i still send the NEWBIE template

Hello ladies and gentlemen, Straight to the point,

I moved house in April and only just got a retail parking ticket from highview parking for the 01/05/2019, as the people who moved into my old house dropped it into the estate agents today, They claim i was parked at this retail park for 5hrs and 32mins, it is a small retail park 1 mcdonalds, 1 argos and a homebase.

I believe what has happened is they have not caught me going out the first time only the second time later on when i went back in and out, There is a very good reason i know this has happened.

1). I pick up my children from school at 15.00hrs

2). A freind of mine has had the same problem when he dropped his nephew of to work at mcdonalds the camera caught him going in the first time and not coming out, then it caught him picking up his nephew up later that night. So he ended up getting a letter as well.

So my question is according to them my time to pay has gone well over, as i have only just got the letter now, should i send the template in the newbie section or should i ring them and discuss it what would be the best way to go forward here.

Thankyou very much for any help.

Send the template unaltered in any way. Highview will probably cancel pretty quickly. Obviously give the contact details of the keeper.
  • O.K thankyou very much for the quick reply any updates i will post them here.
  • Well that was quick for an update, i went onto there appeal website and have been informed that,
Your PCN has been referred to our Collection Agent

Due to the time limit they are unable to consider my appeal.
It has given me the collection agencys telephone number or online contact.

Any suggestions for a next step.

Once again thanks for any help given.

Send an email to their Data Protection officer (you know, the one on their data privacy page) demanding the DPO interrogates the ANPR data for more in/out photos of the car, because this was a double visit and their ANPR has failed, a well known flaw of the system:

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Read some of these similar cases,

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5550336/double-dip-parking-list-of-cases

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Nine times out of ten of these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra work.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
