Travel insurance and idiopathic condition

I have an idiopathic condition which, being idiopathic, is described by its symptom and not it's cause. It has no effect on my everyday life and I will have a follow up with a consultant in 7 months time, so they are confident that nothing will come of it in the meantime.

Does anyone here know how travel insurers are likely to view this situation?

Thanks!

With a blank expression on their faces, shaking their heads and then asking you for Doctors letters/reports giving a full explanation so they could understand the risks better.

Insurance as you are aware is about calculating risk, so your spontaneous health condition is going to be tricky to understand without a history record of your health. Then only armed with that information would they decide if cover could be provided and how much the premium would be.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

    Update:

I rang the insurer expecting a barrage of questions, and had copies of all my consultant’s letters ready to send. But in fact they didn’t seem particularly bothered. They have “noted” the symptom and the fact that I don’t have a diagnosis beyond that, and that’s it. No additional premiums or restrictive terms. The potential worry is that it leaves a barn-size open door for them to refuse claims on spurious and unrelated grounds, but you’d never leave the house on that basis.
