I feel a credit/debit/ contactless payment machine I can use while on site would be useful . Linked to my phone Bluetooth direct to my business bank . good service and minimum fees a plus . thanks

I use iZettle but PayPal do a similar one.
You just have to buy the machine.
There are no monthly fees and there is a small charge per transaction.
It is attached by Bluetooth to your phone.0 -
I had an Izettle machine for my car spraying business which was great at first but when i started taking more that 1k a month it became a problem.
Fees are too high at 1.75% even with no monthly fees.
Since last month i have been using a pdq machine with a merchant account and my bill has halved.
Not always the cheapest option, just depends how much you expect to take on card?0 -
I use Sum up0

The wife used izettle back when fees were a lot higher but she now uses a merchant machine.
If we were to go back to a small device it would be sumup which I think is 1.69%0 -
Sum Up is the cheapest/best. As with this and similar if your goiung to be taking £1k+ a month on cards there is better options.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Thanks all . I chose to try izettle . used it twice only but it is just as a back up . large payments can transfer or cheque (or cash is still king) Both transactions went smoothly on for £30 and the other over 60 . charges of around £2 I can live with . Thaanks for taking the time . hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

So if you are likely to take more than £1000 a month via card, what better options are there/
Many thanks

In that case its the merchant card services, in short its around £1k where it makes more sense to pay a monthly fee with much lower transaction costs.
This only makes sense if consistently above as you are usually signed up to an 18-24 month contract with monthly costs no matter how much you take.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
