I recently ordered broadband from BT which was to be set up today. The modem was to be deliver today but as no time could be given I had to take a day off work.

Now as it turns out after further tests broadband is not available to me after all which is fair enough. But despite being a telephone company and having 2 different contact numbers for me BT decided not to call me to tell me this, or even email me, but instead wrote to me. So the letter turned up today which means I had taken a day off for no reason when if i had been told in advance I could have cancelled and gone into work. >:(

I have just ordered BT broadband as well - am surprised we can get it where we are!

I wonder why they didnt tell you that the modem is delivered by ParcelForce but doesnt need a signature, so they could leave it round the back of the house etc. for you, save you having a day off... ???

Mine is due to go live tomorrow, fingers crossed!

I don't mean to sound awful, but why would anyone want to choose BT as a Broadband provider, they are so expensive

I was with BT BB for 12 months, and out of 12 months' I only paid for about 5 months service. THEY WERE TERRIBLE!!
