£35,000 Lump Sum

Options
Hello. I have a £35000 deposit as a first time buyer on the property market and would like to know the best way to save/invest for interest purposes. The period would be for less than six months as we do not want to commit to buy a property at this point due to the current climate. I have looked at Abbey's bank account to ICICI's top saver's account but find myself confused  with taxes, actual interest rates and the jargon that goes with it. I would like intant access as if we find a home in the coming months we can use the deposit straight away. So highest interest for less than six months with a £35000 lump sum... Can anybody help?:undecided

Phil

with 6 months as the timescale you shouldnt invest unless you are an extreme risk taker.

    Stick with savings accounts.
