E.on live and historic energy usage on a mobile
Hi all,
Last spring I signed up to an online only tariff and had smart meters installed. The smart meter monitor in the kitchen seems to be doing its job and proving quite useful.
However, I'd like to see live and historic data (basically everything that's available to be on the monitor) on my phone.
After a quick search I came across an E.on webpage announcing E.on See - an app that looks to do everything I want and expect from an online energy tariff with smart meters.
I'm not able to post the link as I'm new, but if you search for 'E.ON unveils new smart meter mobile app' you'll find the news story on E.on's website.
It mentions being rolled out and initially available to some users only.
Now over two years on and I don't appear to have access to this functionality. The E.on Energy app does contain an 'E.on See' section but this seems to only show monthly energy usage and not the live and historic information with filtering that the little monitor in my kitchen does and is depicted in the above article.
I've asked E.on for some guidance on this but have been going around in circles either asking me to download the E.on Energy app (which I already have) or "I would request you to please specify your query that what data are you looking for" (nice eh?), So I wondered if any MSE users could throw any light on it?

Hello flemmo and I'm sorry E.ON See doesn't do what you want it to at the moment. Glad you find the smart display more useful.
E.ON See shows monthly energy use split between electricity and gas. It also gives a breakdown of bills as well as energy saving tips.
For the best results, it's best to pop in meter readings in the first week of every month and request a bill. Once you've done that, E.ON See will take around two weeks to pull the information from your bills to the graphs.
Totally understand you want a much more interactive tool and I'll be happy to feed this back to those looking after our mobile app services.
Sorry again E.ON See doesn't do what you want flemmo and many thanks for the feedback.
