  • I don't suppose you could have put a bucket there fairly permanently rather than have to 'rush home from work'?

    What actual damage/costs would you wish to be compensated for? Compensation is normally awarded for these things.

    I'm not saying your situation was acceptable, but I'd accept their offer or make it £250 at most and leave it at that. Then watch the rent increase to cover yours and other compensation claims.
