Afternoon all...didn't realise how long I'd slept but I did go to bed very late. The great de-clutter is almost finished and I have three boxes of fabric/fancies/equipment, and one box of throws either I made or was given so I'm feeling quite positive about that. Now to get rid of all the bags of set aside for other people stuff...
I finally got round to putting the new light upstairs, well that was a surprise with three lots of wiring to separate and squash into the new rose thing. But it's very bright up there now. Did tell OH to go and look but NOT to look at the lightbulb, so what did he do? Yep. one half blinded OH later.....
Sister has also been busy with regular trips to the dump slowly clearing out years of just in case it comes in useful but she's coming up at the end of the month for the WI quiz [there are two every year and much fun]

Great news about your tongue tru, bet that was a relief! And great news about your grandee's too TA! Plus the sleep and the fish and chips....Maybe you'll have to have more if it guarantees a good sleep ;) AOD, do you worry about the rats much? Only asking because when I was in work I was told if you can see one in daylight then there's a lot more of them hanging round somewhere you can't see them...Gers, good luck with the throat..I tend to smother my honey in whisky with hot milk :) Hope you're taking some time out for yourself Hester, and I'm with you on the rain, it just hasn't seem to have stopped yet..Good luck with the job application Speky, the big smoke eh? Hope you had a relaxing time snoozer, good luck with steves appt too. Scarlet, you might just be a bit off colour...hot toddies for you too :) Hey everyone reading along, hope you're all doing well.. Wintery Wednesday [ but not raining yet, HA!]

    Congratulations to your granddaughter!

Good luck with the job applications Speky and less pressure would be a good thing.

Have spent the last two days looking after my first grandchild as she can't go to nursery due to tummy upset. It makes for a long day but really pleased to be useful and love her to bits. I woke up around seven this morning and it was lovely not too have to get up and dressed ready for dd to arrive at seven thirty a.m. I had an extra hour in bed reading a book then made an SW friendly bacon, tomato and onion omelette.

Had to get the bus to Leeds to pick up my new glasses and had a look at the slimmer's meals from Adsa and treated myself to a couple. Got home and looked them up online and it looks as if they are about seven syns each while the Iceland ones are free which is a bit of a disappointment but at least having something like that is better than making sandwiches or going to the chippy.

    Tru

I am so glad the results were good and not leading to further tests or worry.

Thoroughly enjoying the peace and quiet and putting my feet up.

    Hugs to all

Afternoon all. Bright and sunny here. I have a line full of washing out so fingars crossed it will get nearly dry. There is the makings of a lasagne in the slow cooker. We have done a Tosco order for Friday. I am trying out their flexible order times as it's cheaper.

Dgs is coming to tea as DD has a hospital appointment. We are instructed to hear him read and give him a bath. I shall delegate bathtime to OH as they have lots of fun.

Gers hope you feel better soon and that the frozen meals go down well with DM. AOD i call out pest contro if I even see one rat. TA well done the ballerinas. Dumpling you ok girl? Taff sounds like you are doing well with decluttering. Hh hope the bread and butter pud went down well. Tru pleased to hear you tongue has healed well and nothing sinister Elons I find dgs tiring too.

Time to put the kettle on and remake the bed. Have a good afternoon folks.

    Afternoon all,

Cold here today but blue skies and very sunny......I have been knitting this morning, lunch of fishcakes and chips afterwards.

Gers.....sorry to hear that you are still poorly......would second the ginger as a help.

    Hester........lovely to see you.

    TA......what talented granddaughters!

I completely agree with all who find the grandchildren exhausting.....it's wonderful to see them but can be so good when they go home!!

Time for my nap.....find it difficult to get by without them these days.
