OUR FEATURE
Welcome to cooksforcooks.com, the website for Saturday Cooks, Daily Cooks and Christmas Cooks. You've come to this page because you love food and you're in the mood to share!
This week on ITV1's Saturday Cooks, Antony Worrall Thompson asked for your favourite Christmas recipe. It could be a recipe passed down through your family, or a dish you’ve created yourself which has become a festive family favourite.
We want to hear the story behind the recipe and how it came about as much as the dish itself, so be sure to tell us anything interesting or funny about it.
WHAT YOU CAN WIN
The recipes will be judged by a panel including Antony Worrall Thompson and a prize given to the top three entries. First prize is £5,000 worth of John Lewis domestic goodies. Second prize is £2,000 worth of goodies and third prize £1,000 worth. Plus, the winning recipes will be cooked on Christmas Cooks on ITV1. The full list of items for each prize is at the bottom of this page.
JUDGING CRITERIA
Recipes will be judged on the story or history behind them, including details of where the recipe originated. They should also be easy and tasty and something that viewers would enjoy cooking this Christmas.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
● If you're not already a member of cooksforcooks.com, you will need to register, but it only takes a few seconds. Make sure your email address is correct so we can contact you! Click here when you are ready to upload your recipe.
● Please read the full terms and conditions of the competition on ITV's website before you enter. The competition starts on Saturday 3 November and recipes uploaded before midnight Friday 2 November will not be eligible. Your entries need to be uploaded by 9am on Monday 10 December 2007.
● When completing the recipe form, use the INTRODUCTION box to tell us about the recipe. Things to talk about are: how old is it; where did you get it from; when did you first cook it; what’s so special about it, etc. Don’t forget, what distinguishes your recipe from someone else’s is the story behind it, so don’t be shy when describing it.
● Don't cheat! It has to be your own recipe, not out of a published book.
● DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS IN THE RECIPE - or the whole world will see them... We will contact short-listed recipe entrants by email.
● Once you have uploaded your recipe, you can search for it in our online cookery book. Go to RECIPES and select 'Members recipes only' in the last drop down box.
