i recycle my alu cans and get paid for these..... but the scrap merchant i use will not pay for steel cans.....
i dont get loads of money for the alu cans.....i crush and store them, and when i get a load i cash them in prob twice a year.....
do you know anyone that pays for steel cans...?
as to be honest i go through loads.. with a large dog and and 2 cats and 3 kittens... eating me out of house and home lol....as i cant find good homes for the kittens....
i recyce them anyway through the roadside kerb recycling with the council, but i was just thinking maybe a could get some cash.....
i also weigh in my old clothes as well at get paid for them, not much... but moeny for something i was going to throw

Hi Cooltrikerchick,
Where do you go with your alu cans? the place our school used closed down and it would be good to be able to fundraise again.
I must admit I am curious about where you take the old clothes, too.
I found this website: www.askyourneighbour.co.uk which has a Swansea section which might be a useful place to ask re the steel cans.

thanks for the link wil take a look.. the alu cans i normally take to a place in alltwen it used to be mathew skips.... but they only do metal now...
but i will be phoning round to ask about the steel cans and to find out about the price of alu cans too.
with the clothes..i used to sell them to a place, but then they closed down.... so now there is a place in ystradgynlais....which buy them buy the kg which i i do have a vested interest in so i better not give any more details....just incase it goes against forum rules.....
i will let you know how i get on with the cans.. and how much they pay per kg etc...Work to live= not live to work0
